But the CXN is also an externally accessible DAC. My personal preference is the Sonos app is just so much more enjoyable to use.
Bluesound Powernode 2i Review | HiFiReport.com The CXN streamer is a great piece of kit but it's no breeze to set up and the app is buggy.

Panasonic 55FZ950. I have the Cambridge Audio CXN V2. Comparing their single-ended analogue outputs (because the Node 2i doesn't do balanced), the CXN (V2) exposes us to a little more inner detail but a substantially more expansive soundstage. but it packs a lot of features tbh, it's an awesome device if you bypass its DAC. I have the moon neo 250i amplifier Top .
Streaming Upgrade? (Sonos/ Cambridge CXN/ Bluesound) - reddit One thing that strikes me about this product is the combination of competitive sound with the balanced design and dual DACs employed. The app is stable and prompts you to perform updates when needed. The companion StreamMagic app (iOS/Android) takes care of UPnP sources - over the network or from inserted USB media - and directly integrates Tidal and Qobuz. Do all digital streams sound the same? how is the USB file player/management? For me the best software ever made is the free 'Musicolet' (on android).
Cambridge Audio CXN v2 & BlueSound Node 2i - YouTube The 2i has updated it's WiFi capabilities although I had no issues with the Node or the Node 2. Cambridge Audio's renowned Stream Magic platform ensures a slick, seamless and stable listening experience from any source, and its out-of-the-box MPEG-DASH and HLS compatibility means live streams are equally consistent and of equally high quality. One thing that strikes me about this product is the combination of competitive sound with the balanced design and dual DACs employed. The Bluesound supports a HDD whereas the Yamaha only supports a USB stick. So, Sonos is maybe a little more user-friendly, but Bluesound is superior in sound quality. By comparison, the original Node a similarly good DAC implementation, a slightly better app and notable better WiFi and DLNA for network music file access.
